Relationship Officer – Asset Finance (Application deadline: 17th January 2022)

Benefits and Compensation Officer (Application deadline: 20th January 2022)



The role is responsible for providing accurate, timely and efficient compensation and benefits services in the bank.


  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of data for payroll processing.
  • Liaise with respective officers in the bank for information on inputs and queries affecting payroll.
  • Accountable for reconciling all internal HR accounts in a timely manner and any issues escalated
  • Preparation of payroll related reports
  • Contribute to process improvement by participating in a range of payroll and service delivery reform activities.
  • Support in ensuring pension withdrawals, transfers and taxes are paid as stipulated in the various acts.
  • Appraise staff loans as per policy.
  • Undertake detailed analysis of all staff benefits to establish trends, compare with market practice and make recommendations thereof.
  • Is fully accountable for staff benefits end to end including but not limited to : medical, group life, WIBA/GLA, GL, Staff Loans, staff leave and staff credentials ensuring that they are accurate and current.
  • Organizes Annual Health and Safety checks and cascades to all the branches, and reviewing procedures for employee safety, welfare, wellness and health


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field.
  • HR Diploma/CHRP from a recognized institution.
  • Five (5) years’ experience Two (2) of which have been in a payroll environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of income tax laws, labor laws and other statutory laws affecting payroll


  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail: Have a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Team player: able to work both independently, efficiently and effectively as well as in collaboration with people at various levels and from different backgrounds
  • Accountable: Results oriented approach to achievement of objectives and ensure escalation to avoid any delays in service delivery.
  • Positive, energetic self-starter with a high level of personal drive and resilience

The Role Holder will be responsible for developing, expanding and maintaining a portfolio of Vehicle Asset Financing in retail and SME business and achieve set budgets within overall Bank objectives.



  • This position is responsible for generating revenue and managing costs within the assigned portfolio

Process/ Projects.

  • This position is responsible for the successful execution of approved policies and procedures, achieve 100% compliance to stated processes, procedures and SLA.
  • The position holder may be required to participate in projects and/or lead projects in his/her branch/location.

Operating Environment.

  • The position is based in an office/branch environment.
  • The position holder is expected to regularly work outside the office environment, in the field visiting clients and motor dealers with an aim of acquiring asset finance business through the mentioned customer visits.
  • Drive the growth of the Asset Finance Book
  • Daily Dealer Visit
  • Participate in marketing activities within the business area in order to maximize appropriate growth in business
  • Create a database of all key clients with assigned dealers to ensure continuous monthly calls/visits.
  • Continuously mine data base shared by the line manager of target markets in the area guided by the market demographics/sectors.

Audit, Risk & Compliance

  • 100% adherence to policies, procedures, and statutory guidelines.
  • Confirm that corrective and preventative actions identified by audit, risk and compliance reviews; investigations or other assessment mechanisms are undertaken within the agreed time frame.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Compliance with internal and external regulatory policies and practices maintaining an appropriate level of risk management within the assigned portfolio.
  • Zero frauds within the assigned portfolio.


  • High marketing and selling proficiency: Ability to undertake sales targeting, sell bank services and meeting sales targets
  • Results driven: able to efficiently manage time, meet deadlines and communicate risks, resource needs, and priorities and deliver results.
  • Proactive: High sense of urgency and attention to detail. Ability to work without supervision and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good analytical: and critical thinking skills, problem-solving, judgment and decision-making skills. Keen to details.
  • Competent in financial management
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to build business relationships and relate well with both internal and external customers.
  • Highly computer literate with intermediate level proficiency in MS Office applications; good understanding of banking software and working knowledge of an ERP system.
  • Absolute and unquestioned integrity, confidentiality and respect.
  • Positive, energetic self-starter with a high level of personal drive and resilience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Additional qualifications in credit, customer service and sales will be an added advantage.
